High-Strength Concrete Removal

Removal of specialty mixtures such as latex-modified concrete, micro-silica and high-strength concrete are no match for the power of Rampart’s ultra high pressure hydrodemolition equipment.

Compared to typical concrete, which has an average strength of 4,000 – 4,500 psi, high-strength concrete may have an average strength of around 10,000 psi.

For example, on a recent bridge repair project, the concrete to be removed had an average strength of 10,400 psi.

That’s less than one-third of the pressure of our hydro jets, which travel at speeds up to 1,500 mph and are released at 36,000 psi. Per the projects specifications, we removed five inches of concrete.
