The TracVac was specially designed and built by Rampart Hydro Services to meet the challenge of effectively cleaning bridge and garage decks following hydrodemolition.  The TracVac is particularly effective in removing debris from below the rebar.  It is designed to travel over exposed, unsupported rebar without damaging or deflecting the rebar.  The vacuum head traverses perpendicular to the forward travel of the TracVac allowing the unit to clean a 6.5-foot wide area as the unit moves over the hydrodemolished area.  While the TracVac is operating, water is sprayed directly below the vacuum head at up to 10,000 psi and 10 gpm to aid in removing the debris trapped below the reinforcing steel and provide a clean surface.  Coupled with Rampart’s powerful, efficient vacuum truck, debris removal can be accomplished without sweepers, skid steers, fire hoses, and pressure washers.
